Given the stressed condition of the world and the ever-mounting needs of society everywhere in this 21st century, it is now essential that University Social Responsibility (USR) become a permanent part of the university teaching structure as soon as possible. As a means of solving the world’s many problems and continuing human kind’s improvement, it is indeed exciting that an essential method may well be carried out through the efforts of USR Alliance. Our organization has already become a central topic of discussion within universities throughout the globe, the place of its inception. The leadership role of University Social Responsibility Alliance within teaching, like that of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for business, has been set. We must all work together to change the world.
In man’s history over the past 150 years, advancement was essentially selfish, where each individual sought to acquire as much as possible for her or his own, private enjoyment. Now that human selfishness, an obviously negative trait, must be challenged and rooted out if we are to survive, not only ourselves but the exponentially growing masses without sufficient food, water, shelter, or, obviously, any education. Now is the time for the centers of higher learning around the world to reach out with open hands to the world and its masses with all the learning they possess and simply give. This can be done with University Social Responsibility Alliance. |
